Watlow to Be Honored at Love Grows Here Gala

March 14, 2011

On April 30, 2011 Family Resource Center (FRC) will hold its annual Love Grows Here Gala Dinner & Auction, an event that raises money and awareness for the prevention and treatment of child abuse in the St. Louis area. At this event, St. Louis company Watlow Electric Manufacturing Company will be honored with the Herman T. and Phenie R. Pott Child Advocacy Award.

The Pott Child Advocacy Award is given annually at the gala to an individual or company that exemplifies the spirit of the Pott Family in promoting FRC’s mission. Watlow was selected for its long years of support to FRC. Since 1995, the company has provided significant financial and operational support to FRC’s efforts to break the cycle of child abuse.  Tom Ferris, Watlow’s Treasurer, has served on the Governance Board and has chaired the FRC Golf Tournament for many years.

Watlow’s support for FRC’s children and families is a reflection of the company’s basic core values, especially their commitment to lead “with service and humility”. “Watlow has been a wonderful partner of Family Resource Center for over 15 years now,” stated Greg Echele, FRC Chief Executive Officer. “They’ve offered their financial help as well as their business acumen, and the kids we work with have benefited in many ways.  We are proud to be honoring them with the Pott Child Advocacy Award and look forward to many years of continued partnership.”
