Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR)

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (E.M.D.R.) therapy is an evidence-based practice used to treat behavioral symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences.

E.M.D.R. is different from traditional talk therapy.  In E.M.D.R. we use eye movements or bilateral stimulation, which is left and right brain activity, to assist you in the emotional healing process.  However, it is not hypnosis.  Using the detailed protocols and procedures learned in E.M.D.R. training sessions, therapists help clients activate their brain’s own natural healing processes.
