Raise Money Online with Firstgiving

FRC recently became a member of Firstgiving, the leading social networking platform for online fundraising for nonprofits. Over 15,000 organizations are using Firstgiving as a way for individual donors to raise money to support their personal causes.

The site was tested as a resource for the Jr. Advocacy Board 5K run last summer, and in just a few days the test fundraisers were able to raise over $1,000.

With the winter doldrums setting in, we would like to encourage all of our supporters to consider setting up their own personal Firstgiving page to raise money to break the cycle of child abuse and neglect. What better way to beat the winter blues than to help Family Resource Center?

The process is very easy:

1. Go to www.firstgiving.com/frcmo to set up your personal fundraising page.

2. You can either join or start a team for an upcoming event, or create a personal fundraising page.

3. Follow the instructions to set up your page. Make it as personal as possible so your contacts know why you support FRC.

4. Email your page to everyone you know, share through Facebook and Twitter, and include the link in your outgoing email signature.

It’s that easy! Firstgiving handles all of the donations electronically and ensures that FRC receives the funds.

Please consider setting up a page today. It is a simple way to help support our mission. If you have questions about how to set up your page, please contact Dennis Stoll at 314.534.9350.
