A 2011 Resolution

News and Stories

As Family Resource Center prepares for another year of helping children, families, and striving to end the cycle of child abuse and neglect, we ask our readers and supporters to make a resolution for 2011: to find a new, creative way to help support our organization. In these hard economic times, we realize that it isn’t always possible to give more money (although we’ll always accept it!) – but you can help the mission in other ways. Here are a few ideas we’ve come up with – and feel free to add to the comments any ideas of your own. We look forward to a successful 2011, and coming closer to a world where children are safe.

Ways to support Family Resource Center:

– Send this blog to your friends and family (and we resolve to update with more articles, facts, and information to keep things interesting)

-Follow us on Twitter, “like” us on Facebook, and join our Facebook group

-Start a Firstgiving page to raise money

-Attend an event

-Even better, host a third-party event! Contact Tina Nelson at 314.534.9350.

-Serve on a committee or find out how you can be more involved with advocacy. Contact John Heithaus at 314.534.9350

-Become a mentor for one of our teenagers.

-Volunteer. Check out our volunteer brochure for the many opportunities available.

These are just a few of the ways you can help support Family Resource Center’s mission. We welcome all ideas and look forward to working with you in the upcoming year!
