Family Resource Center has a big goal – to break the cycle of chronic child abuse in the St. Louis area – and to document that path in measurable ways that can be replicated in other communities around the country.

We have some big supporters already: corporations large and small; individual donors; collaborative partnerships with universities, colleague agencies, and other institutions; and volunteers who give generously of their time and talent.

Achieving this large and meaningful goal takes support, and lots of it, from a wide range of individuals, families, and organizations who are compassionate and dedicated to providing the best possible future for our kids. There are many ways you can help FRC ensure a safe and hopeful future thousands of children and families.

So, how can you help?

1. Volunteer for FRC
One of the questions we get asked most often by donors and supporters is "how do I volunteer?" For an agency like FRC, volunteering isn't as simple as coming in to comfort a hurting child. Because of the severe emotional trauma and abuse many of our children and teens have been through, we have limited opportunities to interact with our kids and clients. We can always use an extra set of hands, however, and there is plenty to do to help the wheels at FRC keep turning.

A few examples include:
• Groundskeeping and building maintenance (like the project done by MICDS teachers and staff)
• Serving on committees
• Organizing clothing or furniture drives
• Filing, typing and front desk assistance

2. Host an event
Fundraising events are another great way to help out FRC. They can be as simple as a clothing drive, or as complex as a trivia night. The opportunities are unlimited! We've had many supporters host events over the past year, so we've compiled a list that you might find useful. Check out the fundraising brochure below for ideas and how to get started!
