Family Resource Center Accreditation Renewed
(St. Louis, MO) January 2012. Family Resource Center (FRC), a St. Louis-based non-profit dedicated to preventing and treating child abuse, is pleased to announce the agency’s accreditation has been renewed by the Council on Accreditation (COA), the premier international agency accrediting community-based social and behavioral health care services.
The Council on Accreditation’s (COA) performs a detailed review and analysis of applicant organizations’ administrative operations and service delivery against national standards of best practice. The COA evaluated FRC on more than 900 items involving twenty different standards of performance, and was actually expedited through the review process once it was found to be in total compliance with all the fundamental practice standards.
“I can’t tell you how happy I am that FRC achieved such a stellar outcome,” said Greg Echele, FRC Chief Executive Officer. “Thanks to all of our staff and board members who are so knowledgeable and passionate about our work. They truly impressed the COA evaluation team.”
COA is an international, independent, not-for-profit, child and family behavioral healthcare accrediting organization. FRC’s reaccreditation is an important milestone for the agency: It provides an ongoing statement to the community and to our supporters that we meet nationally recognized standards of best practice in our work as a child welfare agency.
