The Guardian Society recognizes and encourages donors
who give an annual unrestricted contribution
of $1,000 and more to Family Resource Center (FRC).

By making ongoing financial commitments these individuals
play a vital role in ensuring stability and future growth
for FRC so it can continue to care for children and families in crisis,
and achieve its goal of eliminating chronic child abuse
and neglect in the St. Louis community.

Guardian Society Appreciation Event
Friday, December 5th, 2008

On Friday, December 5, Christine and Scott Homan opened their home in Ladue to host the very first gathering of FRC’s Guardian Society. The elegant cocktail reception and catered dinner was a fitting way to officially launch the Society and to introduce Chris as its 2009 Honorary Chairperson.

For more than 16 years, the Homans have generously dedicated their time, hearts, and financial resources to ensure the well-being of children in the St. Louis area. They continue to play leadership roles in the agency – Scott currently serves on the Governance Board and, in addition to Guardian Society Chairperson, Chris serves on FRC’s Advocacy Board.

So far in 2008, the 66 Founding Members of the Guardian Society have provided more than $200,000 in unrestricted funds - not including event sponsorships, auction purchases and the like – to help serve kids and families in need.

Throughout 2009, Chris and FRC plan to host more Guardian Society events to say thanks, update members on the agency’s achievements and challenges, and to introduce new members.
