Therapeutic Preschool/Day Treatment Program
Program Overview
Therapeutic preschool for children ages three to five years old residing in the City of St. Louis who are experiencing emotional and/or behavioral problems. This program provides structure, stability, nurturance and behavior management in a therapeutic environment to ensure that children are ready to begin kindergarten with success.

• Helps children learn healthy problem solving skills
• Teaches new ways of coping with feelings and emotions
• Helps children learn preschool and kindergarten readiness skills
• Specialized care with trained therapists
• Support to obtain consideration for IEP or 504 educational plan
• Transportation provided within St. Louis City limits
• Daily program, Monday through Friday, 9am - 1pm
• Breakfast and lunch provided
Eligibility
The Therapeutic Preschool/Day Treatment Program is designed for childen who are experiencing emotional, behavioral, and developmental problems and meet the following criteria:
• Children ages three to five
• Resident of St. Louis City
• Eligible for MoHealthNet (Medicaid)
The program is funded by the St. Louis Mental Health Board and is free to qualifying children.
