Family Resource Center Board Elects Sarah Fuhrmann President

Kathy Siddens Succeeds Fuhrmann as Board Vice President-Development

St. Louis, MO – Family Resource Center (FRC), a St. Louis-based non-profit agency dedicated to preventing and treating child abuse, announces the election of Sarah Fuhrmann to Board President and Kathy Siddens to Vice President-Development.

Newly elected Board President, Sarah Fuhrmann, is Senior Vice President and Partner of v-Fluence Interactive Public Relations, where she leads the company’s energy & natural resources and corporate social responsibility practices, and provides PR counsel to Fortune 500 and other businesses on two continents. A graduate of Tufts University, Fuhrmann was an Associated Press reporter in Latin America and the United States, and was Communications Director for a U.S. Senate campaign. In addition to her online brand and reputation management work with v-Fluence, she is immediate past chair of the Public Relations Society of America's Corporate Social Responsibility section.

Fuhrmann has been a Family Resource Center trustee since joining its Development Board in 2001. She has served on the Governance Board since 2004 and was Vice President-Development prior to her election to President. Her professional expertise in Web strategy and content development has led the agency’s recently restructured communications and fundraising efforts, including a new website launched in 2007 at www.frcmo.org.

FRC’s Board elected Kathy Siddens to succeed Fuhrmann in the role of Vice President-Development. Siddens is Vice President and Community Development Manager for U.S. Bank in the St. Louis metropolitan area. Previously she was President of Events Plus, a communications company serving non-profits and small businesses. A graduate of Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri, Siddens completed a graduate fellowship with the Coro Midwestern Center in St. Louis and is a member of the Leadership St. Louis class of 2008. She also received the Accredited Public Relations (APR) designation from the Public Relations Society of America."Dedicated volunteers like Sarah and Kathy are critical to the success of Family Resource Center,” said FRC Executive Director Greg Echele. “Our board of directors is a group of committed people without whom we would be unable to bring hope to thousands of children and keep families together," says FRC Executive Director Greg Echele. "I look forward to continued growth under Sarah and Kathy’s leadership."
