2010 Love Grows Here Gala Dinner & Auction

The annual Love Grows Here Gala Dinner & Auction was held Saturday, May 8th at the Four Seasons Hotel. The event was emceed by traffic reporter Monica Adams of Fox 2 News and featured keynote speaker Kathleen Killion, local author of The Glass Heart.

Over 300 guests enjoyed cocktails and music by Two Times True during the silent auction. During dinner, the first ever blackboard auction provided an exciting opportunity to bid on even more items.

Steve Goldstein, an FRC Board Member, was honored with the 2010 Herman T. and Phenie R. Pott Child Advocacy Award. Steve has been an advocate for children and friend of FRC for 18 years. His legal experience and financial knowledge has brought leadership and wisdom to the many roles he has served on the board. Above all, Steve has given his time generously throughout the years to help keep thousands of kids safe.

Steve accepted the award with his wife Laura, and two daughters, Molly and Julia, at his side.

After dinner, guests enjoyed a rousing live auction, which included VIP concert tickets, vacations, and a rescue puppy from Partners for Pets.

Sponsors and guests raised over $124,000 this year. These donations will be used to help "love grow" in the lives of abused children.
